VLT® Advanced Active Filter AAF 006

The flexible filter for central/decentral harmonic mitigation

The VLT® Advanced Active Filter AAF 006 improves system efficiency and increases grid robustness to avoid downtime. It can compensate for individual drives or it can be installed as a compact standalone solution at a point of common coupling to compensate for several loads simultaneously.

The active filter ensures optimal harmonic suppression independent of the number of loads and their individual load profile. In addition, it corrects the power factor and balances the phase load to provide optimal energy utilization.

Easy to use and with built-in intelligence, the drive is fast and cost-effective to commission. VLT® Refrigeration Drive FC 103

The VLT® Refrigeration Drive FC 103 is designed to help significantly reduce the life cycle costs of your refrigeration systems. It offers efficiency- and reliability-enhancing features, integrated process control functions and a commissioning environment specially designed to meet the needs of refrigeration applications. It also features a setup Wizard which uses common refrigeration terms. This makes installation and commissioning easy and safe for refrigeration technicians and installers.

The continuous variable speed control provided by the VLT Refrigeration Drive makes intelligent capacity control possible. By creating stability while balancing the capacity to the actual load, system-wide coefficient of performance improves providing significant energy savings in a wide range of applications.

The drive contains all modules necessary for compliance with EMC standards. The integrated, scalable RFI filter minimizes electromagnetic interference, and the integral DC link chokes reduce harmonic distortion in the mains network.     VACON® 20 Drive

    Built-in functionality for enhanced control

    Although extremely compact in size, the VACON® 20 is packed with functionality to help improve system performance and cost efficiency.

    Fast installation and set-up are possible due to easy-access terminals, integral DIN rail mounting and the parameter copying tool which can clone settings without needing mains power. The parameter list can be freely modified and application-specific parameter sets and default settings can be created. PLC functionality means individual control logic can be built into the drive and unused I/O options can be used for other machine-related tasks.

    The built-in RS-485 interface provides a cost-effective and simple serial-control interface for the drive. With optional modules, VACON 20 can be connected to almost any field bus system based on RS-485 or Ethernet, including Profibus DP, CANOpen, DeviceNet, Profinet I/O, EtherCAT, Modbus TCP/IP and Ethernet IP.

    VACON® NXP Common DC Bus

    Easy integration – ultimate flexibility

    The VACON® NXP range of common DC bus drive products includes a number of active front-ends, inverts and brake chopper units. They ensure all energy within a system is effectively utilized and redistributed.

    Common DC bus components can be used in many different combinations. In a regenerative DC bus system, the active front-end unit generates power back to the mains network. This is suitable for processes where braking is needed often and the braking power is relatively high. In a non-regenerative system, braking power is redistributed to other drives in the system and possible excess power can be dissipated as heat using an optional brake chopper and brake resistors. This is ideal for small production lines where braking is needed less often.
